(This was sent to me anonymously by a straight and single reader of the blog who has over his single years compiled a list of what he holds to be the most valuable things he’s picked up in single life. I asked if he’d be willing to share so all my single ladies could get into the mind of a champion, ahem, a single guy. He agreed to do so. And just a heads up to the angry bitter girls out there, like myself, he told me that these rules really only work for hooking up and don’t work for relationships. Nuggets of Wisdom from the Inner Workings of a Single Guy

1. Always upgrade, never downgrade

2. Treat them like dirt and they’ll stick like mud

3. Can’t drink all afternoon if you don’t start at noon

4. Live the dream at all costs

5. Act like you’re the shit, people will treat you like you’re the shit

6. Time is money

7. Get what’s yours

8. Use it, or let it use you

9. No excuses, play like a champion

Is it pure #Winning? Or are you just thoroughly disappointed in the male gender? Honestly, in my opinion, I probably would play by all the same rules. Except for that whole living the dream thing – my life doesn’t comply well with that, blame it on my pseudo-drinking problem or my clumsy or how the two inadvertently affect one another. Then there’s that whole treating them like dirt thing. Hm. I’m not here to judge, thats what my weeklies on CollegeCandy.com are there for. I appreciate the insight broski.
